Alert Packaging Important Customer Update
COVID-19

Dear Customer,

We would like to reassure you during this difficult time that Alert Packaging remains open for business as normal. We are continuing to follow Public Health Guidelines and in light of the recent government announcement allowing businesses listed as “the manufacture of products necessary for the supply chain of essential services” we shall remain open. Our work at Alert Packaging Limited is vital in order to keep the supply chain moving and keep food on the shelves in Ireland, the UK and elsewhere.

Our current assessment is that our manufacturing capability is fully operational. Our supply lines in some cases have become more stretched as further restrictions are imposed domestically and internationally. However, we have strategically increased material orders to suit requirements for multiple applications where appropriate.

We would ask customers to assess their critical stock requirements and place orders for delivery as they see fit. We are asking all parties including customers to share their insights. In addition to advice from government authorities we have reinforced our protocols around BRC pertaining to hygiene and staff welfare.

We are facing some unique challenges posed by COVID-19 and we ask for your patience at this time. We will do our utmost to advise lead times and availability of requests for information. As you can appreciate, we are seeing a large uplift in information requests and we will prioritise confirmation of firm orders and work in progress. In addition, we are requesting that customer utilise our online portal as much as possible for order updates.

We have established strict protocols within our business which include suspension of all customer and supplier visits. Internal teams have been broken out into working pods with area & facility designation. Production shifts have been time separated with cleaning protocols between shifts with no staff cross over in production area. Sales, Customer Service and administrative supports are split between remote working and limited access on site.

We will continue to monitor the situation, considering the health and welfare of our colleagues, our manufacturing capability, our supply base and our customer requirements.

In the meantime, we wish you and your colleagues good health.

Your sincerely,

Tony Barry                                    David Byrne
