Less Electricity Usage
Over the last number of years, we have reduced our compressed air operating pressure in our manufacturing process to only 20% which means we use less electricity resulting in reduced carbon levels. We also have an automatically controlled lighting system in our office, factory and warehouse which helps us to save electricity.
Laser Anilox Cleaner – For High Quality Printing
We have recently invested in a unique laser system which cleans Anilox rollers for our Flexographic printing press. This innovative cleaning method has many advantages including; high cleaning speed, extended roller/sleeve life, removes all residues, chemicals or granulates and it is fully automated maintaining our high standards in print quality.

Members of Irish Food Packaging Alliance
Alert Packaging is a member of The Irish Food Packaging Alliance (IFPA), the representative organisation for the domestic food packaging producers in Ireland. The IFPA is committed to the development of a truly circular economy whereby all plastic products are recycled.
Our members believe in developing a commercial waste stream for all plastic packaging & therefore creating a sustainable approach to reducing the climate impact of plastic waste.
Sustainable Packaging Options
We work in partnership with our customers to down gauge film specifications where possible. For example we regularly use metallocene polyethylene which is a much stronger / tougher film reducing the amount of film required. We also offer a range of sustainable packaging options including; 30% Recycled Content films, Paper, PE & PP film specifications.
