Keogh’s Launch New Crisp Flavour with Pack Supplied by Alert Packaging
The Keogh family has been growing potatoes in North County Dublin for over 200 years and launched Keogh’s Hand-cooked Irish potato crisps in November 2011. As part of their range of products they have recently launched a new crisp flavour; Truffle and Real Irish Butter. Keogh’s has been a customer of Alert Packaging for several years, working together on a variety of product packaging including their core range of crisps for their export market.
Keogh’s are well known for their distinctive brand and packaging design, so it was imperative that the final printed pack was of the highest print level standard in the industry and that it matched the existing core range guaranteeing brand consistency.

Our method ensured that when printing on the high barrier flexible film we could achieve precise colour control for the new product when it came to printing the artwork – this saved Keogh’s time by speeding up the origination process and delivering the most accurate artwork reproduction enhancing product recognition and brand identity.
We use the most advanced 8 Colour High Definition Flexographic Printer in the marketplace and our HD print technology ensures perfect register accuracy [<50 microns] between colours meaning they don’t overlap, resulting in brilliant image details and the sharpest text possible. We have also focussed on additional technological advancements such as our 100% inspection system and automatic plate mounting equipment which ensures total quality control. In 2019 Alert Packaging won Flexographic Packaging Printer of the Year 2019 at the Irish Print Awards, and that is something that we are really proud of.
